Uncle Pat can't compete

Uncle Pat realized quickly that he couldn't compete with Baby Da Vinci, and settled in for the Repeat Play cycle. (notice that the Buddy now has to hold Baby Einstein reading material while watching the movie)

Hello, to all my fans, I just want to say GOOD MORNING WASHINGTON....

Wait a minute! This is what I eat?!

I love my new shoes...they are so fun to play with, and chew on, mama keeps putting them on my feet, she is so silly!

Story Time

Yesterday was story time a the local Library. Thomas LOVES storytime. There is singing, and dancing, shaking of red rattle eggs and reading of books. There are noses and ears to touch, that one doesn't see everyday, and there is always someone littler to push out of their Mama's lap so that you can try it out.

I have two.jpg
"Look I have two of the red rattle eggs....hmmm you have another one."

Thomas: "Look, StoryLady, a red rattle egg! Let me get really close to your eye so you can see it better!"

StoryLady: "Thank you Thomas, could you get off my foot?"

One Year Check up

We visited Dr. Jim today.

yearonecheckup.jpg

Weighing in at 26.7 lbs, apparently the baby is not the thirty pounds that I he is! And measuring 32 3/4 inches long, he is only in the 95 percentile for weight and has dropped from the 120 percentile in height to 100th percentile....slacker

waving.jpg

In other news, we have master waving...somewhat. Here we can see both baby and grandma waving. Yes, hello. Today he crawled up to the Story Lady at Story Time and then turned around and waved to all the other babies there. Very. Seriously. Hello. Hi. Hi. Hello. Then he waved to all the books on the shelves, the cars in the parking lot, the trees on the way home and the passing cars. So, that is under control.

With the weekend winding down, we enjoyed the final hours playing outside in the February Sunshine. There is a trail between our house and Scott's parents. Guess who has figured out which direction Grandpa and Grandma always come from?

Cinderella was in such a hurry to beat Mama and Daddy over the hills and through the woods.

Celiac Spru

Uncle Frito has Celiac Spru, which means he is allergic to wheat, but Mr. Moo didn't mind because Uncle Frito lets him drive and because now he loves Fritos too.

Happy Birthday Mr. Moo

Every time I think about my life without Mr. Moo I feel this terrible pain in my heart and I want to squeeze him tight and never let him go. And because I will never be as prolific as Heather B. Armstrong, I've turned to the words of "another splendid bugger, this is really what I want to say..."

guess

Little Nutbrown Hare, who was going to bed, held on tight to Big Nutbrown Hare's very long ears.

mommy_babe

He wanted to be sure that Big Nutbrown Hare was listening. "Guess how much I love you," he said. "Oh, I don't think I could guess that," said Big Nutbrown Hare.

birth.jpg

"This much," said Little Nutbrown Hare, stretching out his arms as wide as they could go.

babybuddy2

Big Nutbrown Hare had even longer arms. "But I love you this much," he said.

1mth

Hmm, that is a lot, thought Little Nutbrown Hare.

sweetness.jpg

"I love you as high as I can reach," said Little Nutbrown Hare.

daddynbuddy

"I love you as high as I can reach," said Big Nutbrown Hare. That is very high, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. I wish I had arms like that.

beachbuddy

Then Little Nutbrown Hare had a good idea. He tumbled upside down and reached up the tree trunk with his feet. "I love you all the way up to my toes!" he said.

crazykids2

"And I love you all the way up to your toes,"said Big Nutbrown Hare, swinging him up over his head.

whodat.jpg

"I love you as high as I can hop!" laughed Little Nutbrown Hare, bouncing up and down.

"But I love you as high as Ican hop," smiled Big Nutbrown Hare---and he hopped so high that his ears touched the branches above.

wheelchair baby

That's good hopping, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. I wish I could hop like that.

buddynpat

"I love you all the way down the lane as far as the river,"cried Little Nutbrown Hare.

tsdntg

"I love you across the river and over the hills," said Big Nutbrown Hare.

Where is the needle going

That's very far, thought Little Nutbrown Hare. He was almost too sleepy to think anymore.

daddy and buddy asleep

Then he looked beyond the thornbushes, out into the big dark night. Nothing could be farther than the sky.

goodmorning

"I love you right up to the moon," he said and closed his eyes. "Oh, that's far,"said Big Nutbrown Hare.

driving onthe east side

"That's very, very far." Big Nutbrown Hare settled Little Nutbrown Hare into his bed of leaves.

He leaned over and kissed him goodnight.

Guess how much I love you

Then he lay down close by and whispered with a smile,

"I love you right up to the moon--- and back."
